Raindrops...

Journal Entry: Thu Mar 19, 2009, 2:57 AM

Raindrops...
keep falling...
soaking my soul...
drowning the light...

I'm so tired of winter, the cold...

I'm sorry for the absence, but I've been sick and busy with life. I'm not in the best of moods either so you better tell me something nice or I might bite... ;)

I've got hundreds of messages and deviations piled up in my inbox and will probably end up deleting most of them and do a lot of faving and running. But I want you to know I appreciate each and every comment and fave I get. Thank you for your support.

Crawling back in my hole now. :invisible: Wake me up when summer's back...

 :peace:

Hi, Blue ! :icondancingbananaplz:

I will share something with you. It is pretty interesting and I'm sure you might know it innerly.:iconkissingplz:

I once read in a magazine that when woman were having difficulties to get pregnant, they should either a) sleep with the lights on or b) go to a tropical country.:sun:

It seems, according to that article, that lack of sunshine and light has a "slowing" effect on our hormones. Our body functions are not as active and we get depressed very easily:no:. That makes sense if you see how people living in tropical countries are so charmingly happy :iconflowerplz:, dressed in bright colors:iconmudkipluvplz:, always making excercise :icondance-4u:or in a party mood , while people living in cold and gray places are thoughtful:icondonotglompmeplz:, not too talkative, more sad looking, and dress in sad colors.

My sister had tried to get pregnant for 8 years, unsuccessfully. Even with treatments, there were no results.
She visited Costa Rica with her husband... and upon return she was pregnant:iconlovelyplz:. Her daughter is now 8 years old :)

It is not easy for me to explain all what the article said in English:iconeeeeeplz:, but it made a lot of sense. Everything seems worse if the climate is cold and gray. But we feel the joy :iconloveredplz: and the happiness when the sun shines and everything is bright. The same problems look different, depending on the day

What I do to feel better in winter is to light the fireplace and to have LOTS of candles handy:icontruesmiles:. Warming up the spirit of my surroundings made a whole difference to me and my family , and those who visit are always delighted of how cheerful the house looks.:iconhug-meplz:

Just trying to help you go through these last winter days until the sun starts shining again :glomp: I know how it feels since our winter is very long, but SUMMER is so CLOSE!

Don't give up and stay firm. Nothing lasts forever... and you are a great friend, so please SMILE !!:iconnewhugplz:

Aww... You're such a great friend as well.

And you're absolutely right, sunshine is what I need... :sun: ...and rain is what we still have... :giggle:
I knew about "light therapy" already. I've read articles about it before. Mainly about the effect of the long darkness during winter to the people in northern European countries. I don't think I could live there...

I'm so thankful for your sweet message, and it did it's magic. :D :D :D
Thanks again!

Well, allergy wise Spring won't be great for me either. I have hayfever. At least that's how it started. Meanwhile I have the impression I'm allergic to anything flying around in the air except maybe airplanes... *lol* Last year it was worst when the Pine trees were blooming and the summer wind blew huge yellow clouds to even the smallest corner. Outside as well as inside the house... :sneeze:
But I'm still looking forward to the :sun:

And you're most welcome for the faves and feature. I really love your recent pictures. And as you already know, most of the older ones as well... :)

Aww. I understand, dear. I know how's that of being sick and busy with life. I've been so busy these days, too, both with work and university, and it's so crazy and for moments I feel like my life is being consumed by it. And about being sick... well... to put it bluntly, I've been sick of a lot of things in my life. So I know how it all works and makes you feel... you just take all the time you need...

And I'm sure you'll have plenty of time later to catch up with all the deviations. That I understand, too. And hey! Thank you so much! You made my day by featuring my work. You know?, the fact of knowing that someone likes my work like to featuring in a journal, it awakes an amazing feeling inside of me! Thank you so much, darling.

And it's always a pleasure featuring your work. :deviation:
